Procedure
My first attempt at installing the DataShield client into R is to use the procedure in the following web page: https://wikis.bris.ac.uk/display/DSDEV/Instructions+for+Linux+users. Start from Set-up R for DataSHIELD analysis.
When I try to install the datashieldclient package I get errors because the spam dependency cannot be compiled because it needs the command gfortran. This should be in a package called gcc-fortran for SUSE.
