== Procedure

My first attempt at installing the DataShield client into R is to use the procedure in the following web page: [[https://wikis.bris.ac.uk/display/DSDEV/Instructions+for+Linux+users]].  Start from ''Set-up R for DataSHIELD analysis''.

When I try to install the `datashieldclient` package I get errors because the `spam` dependency cannot be compiled because it needs the command `gfortran`.  This should be in a package called `gcc-fortran` for SUSE.
