ClamAV
Overview
Antivirus software installed on the UhlLinuxServer servers.
Updates
ClamAV definitions are updated by freshclam, which runs as a daemon and should be started when the machine boots.
- To start manually
sudo freshclam -d- Freshclam Log
/var/log/clamav/freshclam.log
Scans
Scans are run as weekly cron jobs, see /etc/cron.weekly/clamav.
The command to run the scan is clamscan -ri --exclude-dir=^/sys\|^/proc\|^/dev / | mail -s "ClamAV Scan Results for uhlbriccsapp04 for `date +%D`" nrh11@le.ac.uk
